What could be better than an educational and entertaining night under dark sky with hands-on access to BIG telescopes? Nothing we can think of. But we do have some ideas for making that kind of night even more memorable. Keep an eye out for Add-on options once you start the booking process for Public Telescope Tours and Private Telescope Tours.
Zero Gravity Lounge Chairs: Get the best seat(s) in our "house."

Pay an extra $10 and rent a Zero Gravity chair for the evening of your telescope tour. Enjoy the extra comfort during the multimedia presentation and then aim your chair at the sky for the ultimate naked-eye stargazing experience. With these deluxe lounge chairs you can fully recline as if floating above the ground -- with zero neck strain. Marvel at the Milky Way which, under our beautiful dark sky, extends from one horizon to the other like a giant silver rainbow. Scan the sky for meteors, satellites, and even the flash-patterns of tumbling space junk. When paired with a quality astronomy smart phone app like Sky Safari and/or Heaven's Above, this experience can be as rewarding as the views you'll get from our BIG telescopes.
DON'T FORGET to also install a red-light mode app like Twilight on your phone so you can protect your night vision and those of our other guests. i-phone users: Go to Settings –> Accessibility –> Display and Text Size –> Color Filters --> Pick red or orange. Though ALWAYS more comfortable than our free chairs, during bright Moon nights this add-on is probably NOT worth it because the Milky Way will be so much fainter. NOTE: When our inventory of zero-gravity chairs runs out, we will refund those who were the last ones to make this request. |

PORTRAITS UNDER STARS
Your Dark Ranger takes, edits, and emails (allow 1-2 weeks for delivery) portraits of you and yours under our starry sky. We provide the camera. $30 add-on (Very Easy)

ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY (Wide-field)
This is imaging the Milky Way and Constellations. You will get 1-on-1 instruction and good shots with YOUR 6400+ ISO DSLR/mirrorless camera at our observatory. Then take those new skills to successfully image the night sky from any good dark sky location. $25 add-on (Moderately Easy) 
ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY (Deep Space)
Deep space imagery is done by attaching YOUR 12800+ ISO DSLR/mirrorless camera to our telescope as if it were a lens. Learn & practice your manual settings! $40 add-on (Difficult) |
