DARK RANGER TOYS

This 9" lightweight (82 gram) Galactic Disc are long distance flyers with pop-top aerodynamics for maximum glide distance. This type of low-mass recreational flying disc is extra-safe for kids because if a missed catch becomes a "hit" its going to sting far less than a regulation flying disc. NOTE: Some pros use these as "trainers" because the lightweight design is less forgiving for accuracy, helping your practice your technique until you aim is true so every throw goes where you want them to. Manufactured by Garyline, these are made in the USA, using food grade plastic. This means you can flip them over and they double as plates at your picnic (flatware not included). However we will stock UV flashlights available in-store only, so you can grow the glow as needed.

Each one features a different galaxy with it's size and distance printed next to a unique "catch phrase" that describes the galaxy using frisbee lingo.

We Dark Rangers use these for more than fun and games (or dishware for that matter) we also use these to demonstrate the difference between viewing a galaxy edge-one (laying on it's face) vs the face-on angle (standing on it's edge). It took astronomers of the early 1900s years to realize they were looking at the same type of structure, spiral galaxies, just from different angles. But when you think about it, their delayed comprehension is forgivable. They didn't have Dark Rangers with glow-in-dark flying discs, as educational toys, to explain it to them.
