Model Rocket Workshops
What do rockets & telescopes have in common? Dark Rangers like them both! And rocketry is a great way to get kids excited about science, technology, and engineering. Spectators can attend for free but are expected to cheer, because watching somebody else's launch is almost as rewarding as watching your own creation fly!
Dark Ranger Model Rocket Workshops are offered sporadically and organized on a case by case basis. You can book the Dark Ranger Observatory for one of these "pure joy" events (Fri, Sat, & Sun. June - August), or we can come to you:

The Models We Use...
We exclusively use Quest Aerospace Rockets, manufactured right here in Southern Utah (Cedar City). They have the most reliable motors and igniters. You can review the different model rocket kits we stock here and purchase them by size class in advance (Large, Medium, Small) as add-ons when you book your reservation. OR You can wait to select and pay for your kit when you arrive on your scheduled day. |
|
Our Rocketry Cancellation/Refund Policy
While the coupon itself is non-refundable, any kits you reserve in advance as 'add ons', will receive a 100% refund if event is cancelled, participant(s) decides not to attended or even if kit is returned unopened.
NOTE: Unless expertly built (instructions carefully followed) model rockets seldom survive more than 3 launches. However during our workshop we will make every effort, providing spare parts and "MacGyver-ing" it for free, to keep your rocket launching as many times as you'd like to purchase extra motors. |
